I Shoot What I See

Hi! I'm Bryan Haworth. I am a father, a husband, an Army veteran, a full-time purchasing manager, and a photographer—in no particular order. Photography has always been a passion of mine, but it was only in March of 2024 that I decided to start turning my passion into art. So, with a Canon Rebel XT bought for $30 at a pawnshop, I set out to capture what I could.

To that end, "I Shot What I See" has become something of a mantra of mine. It not only explains my style of photography but it is also my outlook on life. To address the photography aspect, I started out shooting nature, but have since moved on to still life, black and white, macro, and some composite. With the exception of some still life and composite, I try to avoid removing or editing overly much after the fact. What does that mean? It means that you see the scene as I did... oftentimes with branches or leaves in the way. This is my way of bringing the beauty that I find in simplicity to you.

As for the how I try to live "I Shoot What I See", I view it as a reminder to take the shot. Don't wait for the "perfect" scene to fall in your lap, or the perfect opportunity. Just make the best of what you DO have and turn every opportunity into the perfect one. Just take the shot
